The Bailey Theatre has shows for everyone!
The Trail & District Arts Council brings you year-round entertainment in the renovated Bailey Theatre and around town.
The Trail Arts Council is excited to present a range of great musicians at Kootenay Savings Music in The Park. With two acts per night, it’s the perfect opportunity for all the family to get together and listen to great live music in beautiful Gyro Park from June 26 to August 14. Regular Music in the Park nights from 6:15 to 8pm.
To make the season even more fun, we will see the return of the popular Night Markets on July 17 & August 14 as we collaborate with Trail’s Incredible Farmers Market to bring the community together for Music, Food, Beer Garden and Farmers Market. These special events run from 5-8:30 pm.
Plus, two new events. The Friday night Music in the Dark Beach Dance Party on August 8 will feature DJs and dance-heavy music from Apollo Suns our headliners. Happening from dusk ‘til dark from 7-9:30 pm admission is $10 at the door for this no alcohol event recommended for ages 15 and up. On July 24, RemarkABILITY Fest, in partnership with Diverse Family Roots, will provide unique experiences to engage the public and celebrate inclusion and diverse community.

Triple Threat 10th Anniversary Double Feature
This year we are presenting a double feature musical treat for you. A two-for-one experience of Aristocats Kids and Seussical Junior.
Aristocats Kids is a jazzy 30-minute musical, designed for elementary school-aged performers that is based on the 1970 Disney film.
Seussical JR. FROM THE JUNGLE OF NOOL TO KALAMAZOO, students will unlock your imaginations when they bring the Cat in the Hat, Horton the Elephant, the Whos in Whoville and other Dr. Seuss favorites to life
ABBA Revisited
VaughnCo Entertainment proudly presents “ABBA Revisited”, North America’s #1 tribute to ABBA on Wednesday, September 17 at 7:30pm at The Bailey Theatre.
ABBA REVISITED is North America’s #1 tribute to ABBA. Its members have been dazzling audiences across the globe since the year 2001. ABBA REVISITED recreates the magic of ABBA with authentic costumes, spectacular harmonies and note-perfect musicianship taking their audience on a musical journey back in time.
Vacant Lot by Ichigo-Ichieh New Theatre
This contemporary dance and theatre piece is directed and choreographed by award-winning actor Hiromoto Ida, and based on the play “SARACHI” by contemporary Japanese theatre artist, Shogo Ota. It is part of TDAC’s Performing Arts Trail series, on Saturday, October 4 at 7:30 pm in The Bailey Theatre.
A long-married couple visit the vacant lot where their house once stood. They innocently share memories of their life together, of the house, and of their kids. Soon after, they realize how short this life is, and that our existence in the universe is so fragile.
Moondance: The Van Morrison Songbook
Kootenay Concert Connection presents Moondance: The Van Morrison Songbook on Monday, October 6 at 7:30 pm at The Bailey Theatre.
Performing all the iconic hits of the mystic Celtic soul singer, from his early days in the ‘60s to his groundbreaking ‘70s albums like Moondance, and Van Morrison His Band, and the Street Choir. The band will play classics like “Gloria,” “Brown Eyed Girl,” “Moondance,” “Into the Mystic,” “Domino,” “Wild Night is Calling”, “And It Stoned Me,” “Crazy Love,” and “Caravan,” and more. This show will have you singing along and shutting your eyes to truly make you think that the legendary Hall of Famer Van Morrison is in the room with you.
Cirque Kalabanté: Afrique en Cirque
Trail Arts Council presents Cirque Kalabanté: Afrique en Cirque, on Sat. October 11 at 7:30pm in the Bailey Theatre. A group of amazing acrobats and live musicians, celebrate the diversity of traditional African arts combined with the virtuosity of the North American modern circus.
Take a trip to Africa in a show that symbolizes the strength, agility and joy of life of the Guinean diaspora. A feast for the senses, with beautiful sets and costumes, high level acrobatics, innovative choreography and the colourful rhythms of the djembes of Guinea, and the melodious Kora.
