Kootenay Concert Connections presents Burton Cummings and His Band UNPLUGGED: The Hits, like you’ve never heard them before on Wednesday May 31, 2023 at 7:30 pm at The Bailey Theatre. Special Guest: Ryan McMahon.
Multi Juno Award winner and Canadian Music Hall of Famer, Burton Cummings and his band perform on Wednesday May 31st at the Bailey Theatre. The performance will feature both unplugged and electric versions of “hits like you’ve never heard them before”.
Burton Cummings is the voice of a generation and is widely considered as one of the finest rock voices in Canadian history. His musical creations resonate with fans both old and new and Burton continues to uphold his impressive reputation as a singer, songwriter, and performer. His songs are timeless and instantly recognizable by his fans including: Stand Tall, These Eyes, Break it to Them Gently, I’m Scared, Laughing, Share the Land, I Will Play a Rhapsody, Albert Flasher, Timeless Love, Fine State of Affairs, You Saved My Soul, and My Own Way to Rock.
With Canada’s original rock ‘n’ roll superstars, The Guess Who, Burton scored an unprecedented string of international hit singles and albums with iconic songs like American Woman, No Time, Star Baby, Sour Suite, Orly, Glamor Boy, Dancin’ Fooland Clap for the Wolf Man.
These special intimate evenings with Cummings and his band will include music from his career as a solo artist and his work with The Guess Who. Cummings is both a great vocalist and a superb musician. He has received multiple Juno Awards, dozens of gold and platinum records, a place in the Canadian Music Hall of Fame and on Canada’s Walk of Fame. His song American Woman was acclaimed the No 1 single in Canadian music history in a recent best selling book The Top 100 Songs of All Time.
Special Guest: Ryan McMahon. Ryan has carved out an almost 20-year career as an independent artist in Canada’s vibrant music scene. A genre fence sitter, he hangs out on the edges of country. His latest release, “One More Fire”, is a fiery re-entry into the world with the hope to keep connecting and inspiring people to find their life passion and live today. Live now. Now is all we have.

Reserved Seating. Tickets go on sale to the general public on Friday March 17th at 12 noon. Patron of the Arts Members can purchase starting at 12 noon on Wednesday March 15th. On-line membership purchases may take 12 hours to become active.
Licensed Event. Building doors open 60 minutes before show time with theatre doors opening 30 minutes before show time. Tickets purchased on-line or by phone must be picked up at the box office on show day between 6:30 – 7:30 pm. Or at the Bailey Theatre Box Office Monday – Friday between 12 – 4 pm.
