Trail Arts Council and Déjà Louve invite you to celebrate the joy, laughter, and sometimes cynicism, attached with the Valentine Season, with all kinds of vaudeville debauchery at Love Bites: A Valentine’s Burlesque Show on Friday, February 7 at 7:30 pm in The Bailey Theatre!
Coming back to Trail, all the way from New Orleans, is Honey Badger of Burlesque JEEZ LOUEEZ, Voted #1 Burlesque Performer in the World. Joining her are Special Guests RedBone, Cecil the Sad Clown, and Cat Zaddy, along with Kootenay local spotlights Déjà Louve, LBee, Beava Las Vegas, Bella Cat, Backdoor Breena, Guido la Bido, Rosy Ripples, Shiraz Deville, Siren Recluse and Strawberry Sweetcheeks.
There will be two 1 hour acts plus a 15-20 minute intermission.

Jeez Loueez is an award-winning performer known as The Honey Badger of Burlesque! A lethal combination of drama, hilarity, and killer kinetics, Jeez Loueez is a powerhouse that’s taken stages across the country by storm. Whether donning a mohawk and her patented “Stank Face”, or serving up classic, glamorous striptease, she’s a consummate force that’s become one of the most memorable personalities of modern burlesque. As an emcee she seamlessly blends high camp, low brow, and relatable comedy to keep the crowds on their toes!
Jeez took home the titles of Miss Viva Las Vegas in 2012, Shimmy Showdown Champion in 2013, and Southern Fried Burlesque Queen in 2014. She’s been voted into the Top 50 Burlesque Industry Figures since 2010 and was named the #1 burlesque figure in the world in 2019 & 2020. In 2018 she was voted one of the Top 10 Most Influential Figures of the Decade, and in 2023 she was crowned the Reigning Queen of the Tease in New Orleans. A skilled improviser with impeccable comedic timing, Jeez Loueez charmed the crowd at the Greasing of the Poles 2023 as the People’s Choice Award recipient.
RedBone, ‘Internationally known, Minnesota grown’, is one of the biggest names in burlesque! She began traveling the world as one of the Wham Bam Thank You Ma’ams, backing up the infamous Foxy Tann in her quest for world domination in 2005. RedBone has featured at Viva Las Vegas Rockabilly Weekend, is the 2019 reigning ‘Princess of Burlesque’ of The Miss Exotic World competition at The Burlesque Hall of Fame Weekender in Las Vegas and 2016-2023 21st Century Burlesque Magazine Top 50 Most Influential Industry Figures!! Owner of Cyclone Enterprises, a production company focused on Black, Brown & Queer Fringe Arts Entertainment, that produces Moist – An All Black Erotic Cabaret quarterly at Oasis SF. She is also co-founder of The Nudie Nubie’s Show — An Amateur Reveal established in 2013 designed to support & elevate the younger generation of teasers.

Rex The Impossible’s stage character, Cecil the Sad Clown, was born in the UK to a Father who was an English Banker and a mother who was the Illustrated Woman for her family’s Traveling Circus & Sideshow based in Bavaria. Cecil & his twin were born with odd birth defects; both pale, Cecil had what looked like a permanent frown, His brother Chauncey had what looked to be a scowl. Upon his parents’ mysterious death, Cecil & his brother were brought into their abusive aunt’s Clown act in Bavaria. Sick of the maliciousness of Chauncey, Cecil left for America at 18 years old, where he became a solo act, performing for Vaudeville & Burlesque Shows. He has won several awards for his Vaudeville Animal Act with a twist as well as his Sad Strip number. He appeared on television for America’s Got Talent (briefly) as well as being invited to the world of Theatre Bizarre. Cecil has made a name for himself as “The Sad Clown with a frown known all over town!” firmly believing that there is Humor in Sorrow.
Cat Zaddy is a Toronto-born, Montreal-based burlesque artist known for captivating audiences with her infectious high energy. She weaves in her experiences in pole dance, afro, and samba wherever she can to create a vibrant celebration of liberation on stage. Cat was featured in the Virtual Burlesque Hall of Fame in 2021 and has made waves on festival stages worldwide from Vancouver to Las Vegas, New Orleans to the Netherlands! In 2023 she claimed a title as second runner up at the Panama Burlesque Festival.

Powered by brains, boobs and booty, Rosy Ripples & Backdoor Breena are known for combining the ridiculous and the delicious, the sexy and silly. Behold this glitter grudge match that explodes when one sassy lass and one smutty clown take a year of ballet classes.
Guido la Bido and Siren Recluse are singing maven marvels. This powerful duo will draw you in with their sweet sounds and baritone accents. Together they join forces in life and on stage to bring you vaudeville versions of some of your favourite modern and classic pop favourites.
Beava Las Vegas, a Kootenay based performer with roots from the Gitxsan Nation, found her love of burlesque watching and performing in the Foxxie Follies in her hometown of Quesnel.
BELLA CAT is a raw and dynamic performer with her raspy soulful voice her new take on soul music adds notes of RnB, hip-hop, blues, funk, and even pop music.
Déjà Louve, The Howling Heartbreaker, has been performing burlesque since 2014, when she was awarded Runner Up in Canada’s Bunny Competition, and has since prowled her way across stages all over the country and down the coast from Seattle to Panama. She is the Head Tease behind all Queen City Burlesque Expo productions.
Queen of Bees and the Jack of Hearts, LBee is a drag jack. LBee brings the stories that live inside her to life on stage using her imagination and the magic of human connection for inspiration. Her background is in theatre and film and she’s a fiercely passionate beekeeper and lover of all pollinators. Co-founder and member of the Drag troupe The Dancing Legs, Shiraz Deville has been performing the art of Drag on Kootenays stage since 2017. Multidisciplinary and versatile Shiraz bring their sass, presence and French accent to the stage and will leave you wanting for more.
