When the homeless occupy a Cincinnati Public Library to escape freezing temperatures, it triggers an extreme reaction. What begins as an act of civil disobedience becomes a stand-off with police and a rush-to-judgment media constantly speculating about what’s really happening. This causes a librarian to be caught between this group of homeless patrons and the authorities on the coldest night of the year. This David versus Goliath story tackles challenging issues, including homelessness and mental illness, and sets the drama inside one of the last bastions of democracy-in-action: your public library.

Director: Emilio Estevez/ Cast: Alec Baldwin, Emilio Estevez, Jena Malone, Taylor Schilling, Christian Slater, Gabrielle Union, Jacob Vargas, Michael Kenneth Williams, Jeffrey Wright / US / English, Sign Language / 2h 2 mins / Drama / Rating: PG.
