"Bear Grease – The Musical" is an hilarious reim

"Bear Grease – The Musical" is an hilarious reimagining of the classic 1978 musical, "Grease" happening for one show only next Friday, November 15 at 7:30 pm in The Bailey Theatre.

This playful Indigenous makeover will make you want to sing and dance as you groove along to familiar tunes with a new twist!

A one-of-a-kind show that is fun for the whole family.

Only $40 a ticket or $20 for those under 30 years old.

In tomorrow's Monday Cinema, The Old Oak, Ken Loac

In tomorrow's Monday Cinema, The Old Oak, Ken Loach explores the conflict arising from the arrival of refugees in a failing English village.

A pub landlord in a previously thriving mining community in County Durham struggles to hold on to his pub and keep it as the one remaining public space people can meet in the town. Meanwhile, tensions rise in the town when Syrian refugees are placed there, but Bannatyne strikes up a friendship with one of the refugees, Yara.

The Monday Cinema series is part of the Toronto International Film Festival Film Circuit and is presented by Trail and District Arts Council at The Royal Theatre, 1597 Bay Avenue, Trail.

All films begin at 4:00 pm.

This Monday, Nov. 4 don't miss The Old Oak, Ken Loach's last film!

Centred around a pub in a northern English village, Loach explores the issues around the arrival of a group of Syrian refugees and how not all of the locals are welcoming.

Big Crone Energy is an in-progress theatrical work

Big Crone Energy is an in-progress theatrical work by Fringe Fest fave Candy Roberts that aims to challenge and rewrite the narratives and mythologies around the way our society understands and values women’s elderhood.

Be among the first to experience this original immersive theatre piece at The Bailey Theatre, following an exclusive week-long residency and workshop.
Candy weaves physical theatre, music, mask, puppetry, clown and dance to create stories that explore the humour, the heartbreak, the trials and the tribulations of being a human in this world.

Candy has toured all over North American with her award winning solo shows LARRY and IDEAS BOBERT.

The work-in-progress preview is on Sunday Nov 10 at 3:00 pm at The Bailey Theatre and is by donation at the door. No tickets or reserved seating required.
