Ruckus and Plan B at Kootenay Savings Music in the Park

August 11, 2022 @ 6:15 pm - 8:00 pm

Tonight’s Kootenay Savings Music in the Park is moving inside to The Bailey Theatre at 1501 Cedar Avenue.

Same great rock n blues sounds from Ruckus and Plan B but on The Bailey stage.
6:15 pm to 8 pm.

“RUCKUS”, one of the Kootenay’s most popular cover band’s, brings their fun attitude to Music in the Park tonight from 6.15 pm. The 4-piece takes pride in performing all your favorite songs, with a “RUCKUS” twist.

With “RUCKUS” since 2010, lead singer Loretta Sheriff’s distinctive voice and musical theatre background bring a new edge to familiar songs. Drummer Rob Taylor, the founder of “RUCKUS”, has been gigging since the age of 15. Playing what the people want to hear, he keeps the beat going. Newest member Paul Dasti on Bass guitar and vocals, moved to Trail in 1978 from Northern Ontario, where he attended Cambrian College majoring in music theory. He was the bass player for “Nickel”, who were quite popular in cities from Thunder Bay to Halifax. Paul is a well-known musician, playing with many local bands. With over 40 years’ experience, guitar master Darren Mahe has shared the stage with “Trooper”, “Headpins”, “Great White” and many more. His expertise and dedication to his craft is significant.

At 7pm, Plan B, a Kootenay-based rhythm and blues band on the jazzier side of blues, hit the stage. Plan B includes Aron Tinsley (drums), Jason Thomas (2nd guitar and keyboards), Jason Friesen (bass), George Capelletto (guitar), and Randy Eastwood (vocals).

Music in the Park is held at Trail’s Gyro Park every Thursday starting at 6.15 pm, except for the Night Market shows on July 7 and August 4 when the event will run from 5 pm. Come down and feel the buzz again at this fabulous outdoor summer event.

With entrance by donation, Kootenay Savings Music in the Park is the perfect opportunity to bring a lawn chair or a blanket, get outside and listen to live music with friends.

Please remember, No Smoking, No Dogs, and especially No Smoking Dogs!
Admission is by donation – $3 minimum suggested. Or buy a pass for the whole season for just $50.
