The Worst Person in the World

Trail & District Arts Council’s MONDAY CINEMA presents The Worst Person in the World at The Royal Theatre, 1597 Bay Avenue, Trail on Monday, November 7th at 4 pm.

Julie (Renate Reinsve) can’t decide what she wants or who she wants to be. She studies to be a medical doctor, but then switches her studies to psychology, then decides she’s more interested in the visual and begins taking a photography course. While taking portraits, she falls in love with an older man, Aksel (Anders Danielsen Lie), who is a successful graphic novelist. But as she approaches thirty, working in a bookstore, she realizes her talents have gone to waste, while Aksel wants them to have a baby.

One night, after gate-crashing a house party, she meets the young and charming Eivind (Herbert Nordrum). Before long, she has broken up with Aksel and thrown herself into yet another new relationship, hoping that it will give her a new perspective on her life.
